An actual quote from the idiot Woy yesterday

"Your point that we haven't got the left-sided one is quite right but there is nothing I can do about that unless suddenly in the next five weeks some brilliant English left-sided centre-back appears on the scene and I don't anticipate that."

Such a confidence boost for the players there!

Only BBC gossip but a mention Woy is considering recalling John Terry. The manager hasn't learnt anything if true.

PD, to be fair Roy may not have said Rooney is starting if fit BUT, I did read in the press that he had said what Kylay has posted up as well, was in one of the trashy rags mind, Mirror or Sun I think.

Maybe why Roy came out and said what he did as you posted, he’s either been misquoted or back peddling? Im undecided as he clearly has a hard on for Rooney so could have slipped out, he’s starting………

''Hodgson stated on Sunday that Rooney will be the captain against Russia barring an injury the prevents him from going''

But that's not true is it?? That would be guaranteeing him a place. This is what he really said..

“I have never said that he [Rooney] is an automatic starter,” Hodgson said at Wembley Stadium. “I have never said that anyone is. Does he have a good chance, with his track record, ability and experience? Of course he has. But that does not necessarily mean that he will be. He may not have recovered to the best of his ability. Or we might want to use different players, or to play a different way.”

Poor form to make that up.

Oh yes the last World Cup.......

WON 0
Drew 1
Lost 2

and went home early

He should have been sacked there and then, the bloke is a failure

He also tried to call up Gibbs last night instead of Cresswell after Bertrand got injured

I have always stuck up for Woy and been in his corner but after fucking off our in form players little you can do to defend him

Dont get picking Walcott either, he gave him 30 mins across both games. What was the point in that, surely that 30 mins and time in training would be better spent looking at a player to see if they can step up (antonio) especially with Walcotts current club form

Hodgson stated on Sunday that Rooney will be the captain against Russia barring an injury the prevents him from going. Also went on about how you don't change him out just because someone else had a few good games.

Even if he believes this, I don't know why you make a statement like that. Rooney certainly won't be match fit until mid to late may, and I'd be shocked if he returned to form before that, especially given his age. Why send that message when you don't need to, particularly if Rooney returns in poor form?

Re: England Squad v Germany 28/03/16
Against the top top sides I get it, especially if our offensive players can break with pace.

But turning up against Wales and starting both Dier and Drinkwater and seeing players such as Barkley and co sitting on the bench would be infuriating,

The worst bit was that the cheeky cunt was trying use the last world cup as proof that he knows what he's doing. And how he's right not to listen to public opinion when it comes to form players.

Surely IF you play the WOY of the Wovers way, 4-3-3 then to be successful you would need two holding midfielders on the International stage to balance out 4 offensive players?

Plus let's face it if Wilshere is even 80% fit he will travel with the squad and start.

Those goalscoring records are in qualifying groups including Slovenia, Slovakia, Translyvania & the Isle of Wight.

Re: England Squad v Germany 28/03/16
No way would I have Drinkwater starting at the euros.

Dier and Drinkwater together looks very negative to me especially when you could have a talent like Barkley starting ahead of Drinkwater.

"Comparing Mark Noble to Grant Holt was the final straw for me... The cheeky cunt."

Comparing him to Holt for me wasn't the problem. The problem is he doesn't pick players in form.

I can remember people saying Holt should have gone to the last Euros because he was the inform English striker bar Rooney at the time and he should have gone, maybe if he had Hodgson wouldn't have failed.

Woy's had it clear if the likes of Wilshire and Shaw get a game or two under their belts they will be on the plane and that's fucking madness.

Sterling 20 App - 2 Goals
Lallana 21 App – 0 Goals
Milner 58 App – 1 Goal
Barkley 21 App – 2 Goals
Henderson 23 App – 0 Goals

So between that lot 143 Apps for 5 goals….

That is RANK

Re: England Squad v Germany 28/03/16
Just saying what I think he WILL do.
He has some players he thinks do a job for him and he sticks to them. He calls it loyalty and reckons they haven't let him down.
And completely ignores what happened in the matches that mattered in the World Cup.
He has a nucleus of some exciting players ... I just see him falling back on his old favourites.
He is a stubborn cunt.
